Meet the Frenchie

The Frenchie is a fawn French bulldog in round glasses, a blue COFFEE LOVER sweater, black pants and brown loafers, holding a coffee like it is the most important thing he will do all day. He is serious. He is dressed for it.

Our founder and artist, BrandON, designed him in New York City, the same hands that paint the murals inside every 787 Coffee café. He is a cousin of Mr. Coquí, Puerto Rico's frog, and he comes from the same idea: a character with a point of view, stitched onto something you will actually wear.

787 Coffee started in 2014 on our own farm, Hacienda Iluminada, in Maricao, Puerto Rico. We grow, hand-pick and roast our own specialty coffee, and today we serve it in cafés across New York City, New Jersey, Texas and Puerto Rico.

We kept the sweatshirt local too. The sweatshirt and the embroidery are both made in Brooklyn. The Frenchie is embroidered, not printed, so every stitch is sewn into the fabric. He has texture, he catches the light, and he stays sharp wash after wash.
