The Coquito Latte didn't happen by accident. It was born on our coffee farm, Hacienda Iluminada, nestled in the misty mountains of Maricao, Puerto Rico. This is where we grow our specialty coffee beans by hand, where our farmers wake before sunrise, and where the magic of 787 Coffee truly begins.
We wanted to create a drink that captured the essence of a Puerto Rican Christmas. Coquito — that creamy, coconut-rum holiday drink passed down through generations — was our inspiration. But we didn't just want to add flavor to coffee. We wanted to infuse the experience into every sip.
So we did something nobody else was doing: we created rum-infused coffee beans. Our single-origin Mexican beans — with their natural notes of smoky cinnamon and dark chocolate — are infused with rum that evaporates after 48 hours, leaving behind only the essence.
