steaming your milks is super important! That’s how you get the perfect foam. Heat your milk for at least 150 F degrees so it’s hot enough but you are not burning your milk.

Step 4: Tap the pitcher

Tapping your pitcher is an important step to make a great flat white! This step lets get rid of any big bubbles that can rain that smooth foam on your flat white. pour your milk in the middle of your espresso, get closer with your pitcher to start creating a latte art with a small foam. A flat white stands out as a special coffee drink due to its unique balance of strong, bold espresso and smooth, velvety milk. Here's what sets it apart:

1. Espresso-forward flavor: Unlike lattes, which have more milk, the flat white uses a double shot of espresso, giving it a stronger, more pronounced coffee taste that’s ideal for coffee lovers who enjoy the full richness of espresso.

2. Silky milk texture: The milk in a flat white is steamed to a smooth, velvety texture with very little foam. This creates a creamy mouthfeel without overwhelming the espresso, allowing the coffee flavors to shine through.

3. Perfect balance: The flat white strikes the perfect harmony between bold coffee and creamy milk, offering a more intense coffee experience than a latte but with a smoother finish than a cappuccino.

4. Less foam: While cappuccinos have a thick layer of froth, the flat white has only a thin layer of microfoam, making it richer and silkier.

5. Refined and elegant: The minimalist approach to milk and foam, along with its bold espresso foundation, gives the flat white an elegant simplicity that appeals to those who appreciate well-crafted, balanced coffee.

These elements make the flat white a go-to choice for coffee enthusiasts who crave a strong yet creamy drink that delivers a rich coffee flavor with a luxurious texture.
